Creative Advertising Solutions For The Kitchener / Waterloo Region

My Name is Carlos.
I design the amazing.

The Company

At Saav Media, the ambition to market a brand message is a mutual understanding between both designer and client. My goal is to ensure a successful translation of a clients brand into a design made to communicate the message to a targeted demographic.

The Designer

I have worked in the industry of design for over 6 years. It all began with a general interest in advertising in high school and grew into a career choice while attending Wilfrid Laurier University. I am currently attending my last year of studies at this excellent institution to attain a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a Business Minor.

I currently hold 3 volunteer positions within the Laurier community and 1 outside of it: I am the executive graphic designer as well as the executive video producer for the Wilfrid Laurier Students' Union. I am also the web designer for The Atrium Media Group. Outside of Wilfrid Laurier University, I am the newsletter editor for the Eastbridge Insight - a community newsletter written and distributed by the Eastbridge Neighbourhood Association.

Freelance Designer vs. Advertising Agency

If this was not the first website you stumbled on when looking for a design company, odds are you are currently looking for a cheaper alternative to what an advertising agency offers.

Advertising agencies may have a bit more resources at their disposal but it is you the client that has to pay for all of their equipment (whether your project requires the equipment or not). In addition, there are usually at least 5 different members to an agency and it is your project that has to pay for: the accountant (the person who cashes your money), the web developer, the designer, the secretary (the person who calls you for the money), the owner (the person who swims in your money), etc.

Finally, the care and attention that the client receives with a freelance designer will far surpass that of an advertising agency. Deciding to get a freelance designer to work on your project means that you will work with them one-on-one. In essence, you are working with the owner of the company; the designer has much at stake with the reputation of their name on-the-line, so the client gets nothing but the best service.

Freelance design is flexible in terms of scheduling, cheaper with less overhead (all I need is my computer), and more personal whereby the designer of the company is also the owner.
